A week ago, the phone company explained to me that my residence is equipped with FIOS, the latest and the greatest in communication. The service lady explained to me that what sets FIOS apart is that it is light that travels on glass to a point where it is converted into a signal received by a computer. In addition to that, my FIOS line goes straight to the hub and is not shared by anyone else. The importance of this is that during peak hours of use, my connection will not be slowed down.
For the past many months I have been wrestling with the subject of prayer. If it is what the Bible says it is, then it is exponentially greater than I have given it the opportunity to be. Our sermon series “A Talk with Jesus” will be our odyssey of growth in prayer. I am excited, because when we stand on the opposite bank of this series, we, our church, and our community will never be the same.
