Pastor's Blog - 03/01/2008
.

A man came to my house this morning to fix the refrigerator.  After putting a knee-pad on and poking at something with a screwdriver for a minute, he declared the problem.  About 15 minutes later we were putting my wham slices back into the freezer.  Thinking about the cost versus the amount of time he’d spent working, I thought to myself, “I could have done that.” About 0.7 seconds later, the thought followed: “No, I couldn’t…” I didn’t even know that there was a little flashing part under that plastic, much less that it was the cause of the problem.

I am very grateful for what I have seen taking place in this church: individuals and teams working to promote worship, Bible study, and service to this church and to the community.  Paul was right on the mark when he described the God-given structure of the church as a body and emphasized that one part could not make little of another without condemning itself.

The Ministry Placement Committee wants to hear from each worshipper how and where you feel God guiding and gifting you.  In the next couple of weeks you will see inserts asking for your response.

Thank you for the part you play in our church ministries.  It is truly a benefit and blessing to the rest of us.
